A family of winegrowers since the 18th century, Maison Jeeper truly began its history in 1949. It was at this time, at the end of the Second World War, that Armand Goutorbe decided to produce and market his champagne. Armand Goutorbe then named his brand Champagne Jeeper to differentiate himself from the many Goutorbe in the region who are also wine growers. But why the name Jeeper? It's simply a nod to the Willys Jeep that he obtained from the American army at the end of the Second World War, to allow him to roam the vineyards in complete peace of mind.
Acquired in 2009 by Nicolas Dubois, a self-taught wine enthusiast, Jeeper joined forces in 2013 with Michel Reybier, owner of Château Cos d'Estournel (Saint-Estèphe) and with former basketball player Tony Parker from 2002.
Jeeper reigns over a vineyard of round 50 hectares that spread over the illustrious terroirs of Champagne, namely the Montagne de Reims, the Côte des Blancs and the Marne Valley.
Champagne Jeeper's activity is centralized on the Faverolles and Coëmy site, a town near Reims, in the northwest of the Champagne region. Its main activity is focused on quality, both for the production, winemaking and marketing of bottles of champagne.
The homemade liqueur used for the dosage is produced with our grand cru Chardonnays aged in barrels. it gives this champagne a luxurious twist !

Appellation
AOC Champagne
Champagne is a sparkling wine produced from grapes grown in the Champagne region of France following rules that demand, among other things, secondary fermentation of the wine in the bottle to create carbonation, specific vineyard practices, sourcing of grapes exclusively from specific parcels in the Champagne appellation and specific pressing regimes unique to the region. Some use the term Champagne as a generic term for sparkling wine, but in most countries, it is illegal to officially label any product Champagne unless it both comes from the Champagne region and is produced under the rules of the appellation. In the early twentieth century, the Champagne already had the force of a myth. The Champenois decided to protect it by setting a strictly defined area and the common rules on production, which is translated by the recognition of the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) Champagne. Since then, wineries and Champagne houses, united in the Champagne Committee, continue to develop this heritage and share as many values of their prestigious name. The Champagne appellation is thus a reference for all the producers and consumers who prefer authenticity, quality ... and dream.
