Champagne Janisson - Grand Cru

The Janisson house is located in Verzenay, classified Grand Cru village in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, on one of the most prestigious terroirs of Champagne. At its head, Manuel Janisson makes the winegrowing tradition of Janisson prosper, inscribing it in a contemporary and international dimension. Descending from a long line of wine-makers, Manuel Janisson is forward-thinking and resolutely passionate about developing and enriching the family tradition. In 2014, with the help of architect Giovanni Pace, he based his Champagne House in a sleek, modern cellar ; reflecting the style of his new cuvées. The state of the art winery ensures that new technology is put to good use to get the very best from what nature provides. Manuel Janisson skillfully combines tradition and modernity.

The wine is clear and brilliant. The mousse is fine and delicate, forming a steady stream of bubbles. A sandy yellow colour with hints of straw. The bouquet is rich in flowers and fruit. It is dominated by white fruits with distinguishing notes of tangy citrus fruit. The potent, elegant nose reveals an exceptional champagne. A distinct immediate mouthfeel. Its freshness resembles the minerality of great Chardonnays. Its perfect poise gives a creamy taste followed by a beautiful balanced sensation. As with its bouquet, enjoy the youthful aromatic vibrancy of this champagne.

Appellation
Champagne Grand Cru
Champagne is a sparkling wine produced from grapes grown in the Champagne region of France following rules that demand, among other things, secondary fermentation of the wine in the bottle to create carbonation, specific vineyard practices, sourcing of grapes exclusively from specific parcels in the Champagne appellation and specific pressing regimes unique to the region. Some use the term Champagne as a generic term for sparkling wine, but in most countries, it is illegal to officially label any product Champagne unless it both comes from the Champagne region and is produced under the rules of the appellation. In the early twentieth century, the Champagne already had the force of a myth. The Champenois decided to protect it by setting a strictly defined area and the common rules on production, which is translated by the recognition of the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) Champagne. Since then, wineries and Champagne houses, united in the Champagne Committee, continue to develop this heritage and share as many values of their prestigious name. The Champagne appellation is thus a reference for all the producers and consumers who prefer authenticity, quality ... and dream.
